Privacy
Privacy, without the plot twist.
You’re here to make something worth watching — not to hand over your life story. We only use the information we need to reply, understand your brief and keep the website working. Here is the straightforward version of what happens with it.
Who is responsible

What we collect
When you contact us through the website, we may receive:
- the type of project or service you select;
- your email address;
- your optional message;
- your optional company name; and
- any other information you choose to include in your message or later correspondence.
Our hosting and security providers may also process ordinary technical information such as your IP address, browser, device type, requested page, date and time, and error or security logs.
The website may use approximate country information to choose an initial language. If GeoJS is used for this lookup, the visitor’s IP address is sent to GeoJS. GeoJS states that it does not retain access logs, but it may retain anonymised error logs and routes traffic through Cloudflare.
The website stores a language preference in the visitor’s browser so it can remember their choice. This is local storage, not an advertising profile.
Embedded video uses YouTube’s privacy-enhanced domain and loads only after the visitor chooses to play it. Once opened, YouTube may process technical usage information under its own privacy terms.
Why we use it
We use personal information to:
- reply to enquiries;
- understand and discuss a potential project;
- prepare proposals, production plans or agreements;
- provide requested services;
- maintain necessary business records;
- protect the website and contact form from misuse; and
- comply with legal obligations.
Depending on the situation, processing is based on taking steps requested before entering a contract, performing a contract, complying with legal obligations, or our legitimate interests in communicating with prospective clients and operating a secure business website.
Who helps us process it
We only share information where it is reasonably needed to operate the website, respond to the visitor or provide the requested service.
Current providers may include:
- Web3Forms, which processes contact-form submissions and forwards them to our email;
- our website and email hosting providers;
- GeoJS and Cloudflare for approximate country lookup, if that browser-based lookup remains enabled;
- YouTube, only when a visitor chooses to load embedded video; and
- professional or legal advisers where necessary.
Web3Forms states that it does not store completed form submissions as form records, although temporary server logs may contain personal information and are periodically deleted. Web3Forms operates servers in the United States. Some providers may therefore process information outside the European Economic Area. Where legally required, appropriate safeguards must be used.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and related correspondence may be retained for up to three years after the last meaningful contact, unless a longer period is required for an active client relationship, contract, accounting requirement, dispute or legal obligation.
Provider security and technical logs follow the relevant provider’s retention schedule.
Information that is no longer reasonably needed is deleted or anonymised.
Cookies and analytics
At the time this policy was prepared, this website did not contain advertising or behavioural analytics cookies.
The website may use local browser storage to remember language and navigation preferences. Privacy-enhanced YouTube content may process information only after the visitor chooses to load it.
Your choices and rights
Depending on applicable law, visitors may ask us to:
- provide access to their personal information;
- correct inaccurate information;
- delete information;
- restrict or object to certain processing;
- provide eligible information in a portable format; or
- withdraw consent where processing depends on consent.
Requests can be sent to hello@storycraft.agency. We may need enough information to confirm the requester’s identity.
Visitors may also contact Lithuania’s State Data Protection Inspectorate at vdai.lrv.lt.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice when the website, our providers or legal requirements change. The newest version and its update date will always appear on this page.
That’s the whole scene. If anything is unclear, email us and we’ll explain it like humans.
